I’ve been hearing about Mendokoro Ramenba for months, maybe even more than a year now. I finally got to check them out just yesterday at their more accessible BGC branch. The original Makati location is always full, and parking is really a chore there.
Anyway, my order of Super Chashu felt short of my super high expectations. For its price of Php 570+, I felt it was very much overpriced. The serving was generally small, except that the super tender pork chashu was significantly sized. The broth lacked a strong umami taste, although rich and thick just the way I like it. The noodles were fine, firm and smooth.
On the side order of Gyoza for Php 120, it was the fair amount. I liked that it was both plump and juicy!
I will definitely come back again, I’d like to explore their other ramen specials like their version of Shoyu and the spicy Tantanmen.
